Copyright Agency has been standing up for Australian creators since 1974. We connect users and creators of content, providing licences for the use of copyright material such as text and images.
Through its Cultural Fund, Copyright Agency supports Australia’s writers, artists, publishers and arts organisations. The fund grants 1.5% of Copyright Agency’s licensing revenue to projects which aim to encourage and provide practical assistance to Copyright Agency’s members and the Australian cultural community, including professional skills development through mentoring and training programs; assistance in transitioning to the digital environment; projects aimed at developing new markets for member’s works, and prizes and awards that celebrate excellence.
Murdoch University in Perth, WA, has provided us with time and participation from one of Australia’s leading teen reading experts, Dr Margaret Merga.
